How to send money with crypto
New to cryptocurrency? This short guide walks you through sending a donation safely — from picking a wallet to confirming the transfer. It takes a few minutes, and once you have a wallet it's reusable anywhere.
The golden rule: crypto transfers are irreversible and the coin must match the network of the address. Always copy the exact address from our Support page, and send a small test amount first if you're unsure.
What you'll need
- A crypto wallet — an app or browser extension that holds your coins (for example Coinbase, Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Exodus, or any exchange account).
- Some cryptocurrency to send — bought inside the wallet/exchange with a card or bank transfer, or that you already hold.
- The AnonWare wallet address for the coin you want to use, shown on our Support page.
Step by step
- Get a wallet. Install a reputable wallet app or create an account on an exchange. Follow its setup and securely back up your recovery phrase — anyone with that phrase controls your funds.
- Add some crypto. Buy the coin you want to send (or transfer it in). Make sure your balance covers the amount plus a small network fee.
- Pick the matching coin on our Support page. Open Support and find the wallet for the coin you hold (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT). The label and any network note tell you exactly which network to use.
- Copy the address. Tap Copy next to the address — never type it by hand. A crypto address is a long string of letters and numbers, and a single wrong character sends funds to the wrong place.
- Start the send in your wallet. Choose Send, paste the address into the recipient field, and select the same network the address is for.
- Double-check the network and address. Confirm the first and last few characters match, and that the network matches the coin (e.g. send USDT on the network noted, not a different one).
- Enter the amount and send. Type how much you'd like to give, review the fee, and confirm. If it's your first time, send a small test amount, confirm it arrives, then send the rest.
- Wait for confirmations. The network takes anywhere from seconds to a few minutes to confirm. You're done — thank you for supporting AnonWare!
Staying safe
- Match the network. Sending a coin over the wrong network is the most common way funds are lost.
- Transfers can't be undone. There's no "cancel" — verify before you confirm.
- Expect a small fee. The network charges a fee that varies with congestion; your wallet shows it before you send.
- Only use addresses from this site. We'll never DM you an address. Always copy it from our Support page.
- Donations are voluntary. They keep the servers running and unlock nothing — AnonWare works the same either way.
